Vithoba Temple, Maharashtra

Been there recently?

The Vithoba Temple in Pandharpur, which is officially known as Shri Vittal-Rukmini Mandir, is the primary place of worship for the Hindu deity Vitthal and his companion Rakhumai or Rukmini. Vkilometresthal is considered to be a local form of Lord Krishna. It is one of Maharashtra’s most popular temples and is located alongside the holy Chandrabhaga (also known as Bhima) River. Devotees also take a dip in the Chandrabhaga River, which is believed to have the power to wash away all sins. King Vishnuvardhana of the Hoysala Empire constructed the temple between 1108 and 1152 CE.
