The fort is in the village of Tringalwadi, 7 kilometres away from Igatpuri. One of the favourite places of trekkers, the fort at a height of nearly 3000 feet above sea level, was built in the 10th century. Temples, cave temples, and idols are seen in the fort which has a beautiful approach route carved out right in the middle of a large rock. Kulanggad fort, Alang-gad fort and Bitangad fort are the other forts within 20-40 kilometres range of Igatpuri.
