Pushkar Camel Fair
A SPECTACLE ON AN EPIC SCALE
The Pushkar Fair is also called the Pushkar Camel Fair and is locally known as the Kartik Mela or Pushkar ka Mela. It features a fete of cattle, horses, and camels and is famous all over the world. It is an annual livestock event that lasts for seven days in October and November. Approximately 200,000 people attend the fair each year, including traders, buyers, and sellers of horses, camels, and buffaloes. To draw visitors, a variety of stalls are set up, including those selling handlooms, snacks, sweetmeats, ice crushes, bangles, and camel saddles.
