Mussoorie, Uttarakhand

Been there recently?

The quaint hill station of Mussoorie, known as the “Queen of the Hills” is a very popular summer getaway with leisure travellers and honeymooners. Incredibly beautiful natural sights like hills and waterfalls can be found throughout Mussoorie’s landscape, along with excellent views and a mild climate. It also invites thrill-seekers and adventurers to explore its terrain through activities like paragliding, hiking, camping, etc. There are many temples in Mussoorie, which make for serene spiritual retreats. The lush locales of the hill station provide great avenues for nature walks. The British founded Mussoorie in 1823, and many of its buildings, including its churches, libraries, hotels, and summer palaces, still bear the influence of colonial architecture. There is a local shrub called “mansoor” that is said to be the source of the name Mussoorie.
